"Roundhay", opened in 1983, is situated in a pleasant residential area about a mile from the town centre. It is a large, Edwardian house which has been adapted to cater for seven residents, with separate accommodation for the House Manager within the house

During 2007 all our residents’ rooms were provided with full en suite, including shower, and two of them now have separate bedroom and living room. Three further one bedroom suites are being added in a courtyard extension, and these should be ready for occupation by the summer of 2009, bringing our total capacity to ten residents.

For the less mobile residents there are stairlifts to the first floor rooms, and ramps at the main entrance and for access to the garden.
The house is surrounded by a large tranquil garden, with lawns, trees, and shrub and flower borders. There is scope for residents to indulge in some gardening of their own, and in fine weather they enjoy sitting and relaxing in the shade. Shops and buses are close by and there will be ample car parking space and facilities for electric mobility scooters when our building programme is complete.

Castle Gate"Castle Gate" was opened in 1988. It was formerly the Rectory of Holy Trinity Church, and is situated in the town centre, just 5 minutes walk from the High Street, close to the theatre and river, and with bus at the bottom of the High Street and train station over the river bridge. It is adjacent to the beautiful Castle Gardens, to which the residents have their own private gate, and next door to the house once occupied by Lewis Carroll and his sisters.

The house has been extensively adapted to cater for 8 residents, with a separate 'cottage' to accommodate the House Manager. A large conservatory overlooks the colourful garden and a lift links the three floors. Following extensive building work, completed in July 2002, Castle Gate now has a new wheelchair-friendly ramped entrance, and full ensuite facilities in most residents’ rooms.
